Phil Kinnicutt joins HANO Board of Directors

At the Thursday, Nov. 1, HANO annual meeting at the Pacific Club in Honolulu, a capacity crowd of almost 100 HANO members and supporters was on hand for the annual business meeting, which included election of Board members to serve until the next annual meeting.

Phil Kinnicutt of Kinnicutt Consulting joins the Board for the first time. He is a marketing and public relations executive and most recently served as director of marketing and brand management for the University of Hawaii System until he retired in 2007. 

Prior to joining the university in 1997, Kinnicutt was a managing director of Ogilvy & Mather, Hawaii. His forty plus year career in Hawaii includes senior management positions on both the client and agency side of the marketing communications business and volunteer service on a number of boards.  

He is a past board president and current board member of the Waikiki Health Center, serves as board secretary for AlohaCare and is a member of the board of directors and chair of the communications committee of the GBS/CIDP Foundation International headquartered in Philadelphia.

Also elected for new three-year terms were serving Board members John Howell, CEO of Easter Seals Hawaii; Mike Gleason, president and CEO of the Arc of Hilo; Gail Mukaihata Hannemann, executive director of Girl Scouts of Hawai‘i; Geri Marullo, CEO of Consuelo Foundation; and Laura Robertson, president and CEO of Goodwill Industries Hawai‘i.
