About 250 Hawaii nonprofit leaders gathered on Friday, May 16, for the 2008 HANO Conference at the Ko'olau Golf Course Conference Center in Kaneohe. They heard experts in branding and strategic messaging explain why storytelling about their organizations is critical to their success; they learned about new media opportunities and resources; they heard how to better connect to donors by listening to their stories; and they heard a master storyteller, Puanani Burgess, weave her magic.

HANO will include more coverage of the HANO conference on this web site soon, including information on how nonprofits can send us their stories as we develop a portrait of the Hawaii nonprofit sector and the positive contributions it makes to the quality of life in this state.
