Support Services
To help strengthen the nonprofit sector, HANO introduces a new member benefit, the HANO Grant Solicitation Support Services Program to provide proposal review and proposal writing services.
Using a team of carefully screened, experienced and qualified local independent contractors, HANO is offering nonprofit members an opportunity to:
- Build and strengthen skills that will improve an organization’s ability to pursue foundation funding effectively
- Better understand the philosophies and criteria that foundation funders use to make funding decisions
- Receive professional feedback to strengthen draft proposals and ensure effective use of grant opportunities
- Obtain professionally developed proposals carefully tailored to your objectives and the interests of the prospective funder
- Apply the knowledge gained through these services to broaden your understanding of your nonprofit organization’s relevance and opportunities for growth and the challenges it must address
Who can participate in the HANO Grant Solicitation Support Services Program?
This new program is available on a limited basis only. Beginning July 2, 2007, HANO will provide ten proposal writing appointments per month on a first come, first served basis to organizations meeting the following criteria:
- Client is a 501(c)(3) HANO nonprofit member organization.
- Work is limited to proposals for local trusts and foundations only, and where application deadlines are at least three weeks from the time of contract with HANO.
- Proposal package is limited to the drafting of the executive summary, proposal narrative and project budget. Includes editing and revising of documents after client review of a first draft.
- Fees are payable to HANO in advance.
Organizations are limited to one proposal writing purchase and two proposal review purchases per year.
