The list of AUW partner agencies grows to 97

The Aloha United Way Board on May 29 approved the applications of ten new partner agencies. The new partners are:

  • Assistive Technology Resource Center of Hawaii
  • Breakthroughs for Youth at Risk
  • Coalition for a Tobacco-Free Hawaii
  • Council for Native Hawaiian Advancement
  • Hawaii Alliance for Community-Based Economic Development
  • Hawaii Immigrant Justice Center
  • Hawaii Meals on Wheels
  • Honolulu Community Action Program
  • Lanakila Pacific
  • Read To Me International

These ten agencies join 87 other Oahu nonprofits that deliver a wide range of services to the community. AUW closely monitors the program delivery and financial management of these agencies, which receive funding from its annual campaigns, to ensure they effectively and efficiently deliver their services.

The increase in the number of partner agencies came about as AUW recently shifted its focus to five community impact areas: Crime & Drug Use, Early Childhood Development, Emergency and Crisis Services, Financial Stability and Independence, and Homelessness.
