Re-Use Hawaii opens new Kakaako warehouse facility

Re-Use Hawaii, a nonprofit group that specializes in recycling and reusing construction material from torn-down buildings and homes, has opened a new warehouse at 30 Forrest Ave., in Kakaako. The new 8,000-square-foot warehouse is in the same building as the Next Step homeless shelter.

Re-Use Hawaii deconstructs buildings slated for demolition. It then sells the metal, wood and other recyclable materials at its warehouse.
