The Hawaii Alliance of Nonprofit Organizations announces the 2015 edition of The Compensation Report: An Analysis of Hawaii’s Nonprofits, published in partnership with Columbia Books & Association TRENDS. This report was generated as part of a larger study that gathered salary and compensation data from nonprofits across the nation. This is the fourth year Hawaii nonprofit organizations participated in the study.

More than a reference, this is a working tool to help you to set salary levels for successful recruitment and retention. It shows how your organization's pay scales compare with others in Hawaii and will track changes in pay levels and trends from year to year, providing hard data to support your salary decisions. The full Hawaii report includes: salary information for more than 100 positions including: median and average salaries; compensation analysis by title, nonprofit type, budget and staff size; and easy-to-use charts and graphs.

Match your own organization’s jobs to others across Hawaii and see how your numbers up -- find out today when you order your copy of the report. The Hawaii report is available for $150 and HANO members can purchase it for $75, a 50 percent discount. Contact This email address is being protected from spambots. Importance of the Study: This is the only study currently available that focuses specifically on the salaries and benefits of Hawaii nonprofits. Other studies mix nonprofit data with for-profit data, making it difficult to determine comparables for nonprofit positions, or they include aggregate data from nonprofits nationally, making it difficult to determine comparables for Hawaii nonprofit salaries.

Attracting the “best and the brightest” to Hawaii’s Nonprofit Sector is critical to each individual nonprofit’s mission effectiveness, organizational prosperity, and their overall impact in our communities. Understanding how an individual organization’s salary and compensation data measures up against other organizations with similar missions is a key part of recruiting and retaining the best candidates.

Who Participated: Individuals participating in the survey included non-management, middle-management and upper management in more than 100 positions, including:
