‘Business Leadership Hawaii 2006' to honor outstanding nonprofits

 One Hawai‘i nonprofit, either Hina Mauka, Hale 'Opio Kauai, The Institute for Human Services, Mental Health Kokua or the Molokai Community Health Center, will receive the Cades Foundation Nonprofit Leadership Award, to be presented at the Nov. 9 Pacific Business News' Business Leadership Hawai‘i 2006 awards dinner.

The winner of the Nonprofit Leadership award will receive $10,000 and each of the four other nonprofit finalists will receive $1,000. The event will begin at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 9, at Coral Ballroom, Hilton Hawaiian Village, Honolulu.
 
Two nonprofit leaders are also among four finalists for the Ernst & Young Business Leader of the Year award. The finalists are Jerry Rauckhorst of Catholic Charities Hawai‘i, Dee Jay Mailer of Kamehameha Schools, David Banmiller of Aloha Airlines and Jeff Watanabe of Watanabe Ing & Komeiji.

Campbell Estate Trustee David A. Heenan will receive the 2006 Lifetime Achievement Award. Winners will also be announced for the Community Spirit Award, Innovative Company of the Year, and Best in Business for two categories, fewer than 100 employees and more than 100 employees.
