With funding from the U.S. Bureau of Justice Assistance, and from some Wyoming state agencies, the Wyoming Survey & Analysis Center at the University of Wyoming has recently designed several web-based case management systems and interactive graphing tools that are already being used extensively by Wyoming’s drug courts, juvenile justice system, victim services, and chemical testing laboratory.
Because federal funding supported the research and development of this software, the developers can now create low-cost, customized systems for use elsewhere. A demonstration version of the drug court case management system can be seen at http://wysacdev.uwyo.edu/DrugCourt. Another demo for juvenile reentry, http://wysacdev.uwyo.edu/JuvenileReentry, shows how the system can be customized to different needs,
Examples of the interactive graphing tools are at http://wysac.uwyo.edu/PNA/, using data from Wyoming’s Prevention Needs Assessment, also known as the Communities that Care youth survey, and at http://wysac.uwyo.edu/TKI/, using key indicators on tobacco cessation and control.
