Honolulu’s Department of Community Services in partnership with the Oahu Workforce Investment Board has announces a 2009 Summer Youth Employment Program that will provide economically disadvantaged youth and young adults, ages 14 to 24, opportunities to get work experience and acquire skills.
Funding is provided through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act and the program period is from June 15 to July 24, 2009. The deadline for the youth application is April 20 and for the work site application the deadline is April 10.
