The organization selected to receive the 2008 Cades Schutte-Cades Foundation Nonprofit Leadership Award will receive a $10,000 cash prize at the Business Leadership Hawaii event on Nov. 13, sponsored by Cades Schutte, the Cades Foundation and Pacific Business News. Also recognized at the event will be the American Savings Bank Business Leader of the Year, Best In Business I (more than 100 employees), Best in Business II (fewer than 100 employees), Innovative Company of the Year and the Community Spirit award.
The award recognizes a nonprofit organization that has identified important community needs or issues and responded by resolving them in a creative and innovative manner. The awards are open to any 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Past winners include Honolulu Community Action Program (2007), Institute for Human Services (2006), Kauai Foodbank (2005), Waianae Coast Comprehensive Health Center (2004) and Pacific Arts Foundation (2003).
Nominations are now being accepted, including self-nominations, and names of nominators are kept confidential. Click here to make a nomination online. The nomination deadline is Friday, Aug. 15.
