‘Innovations in Effective Compassion’ web site updated

Nonprofit and faith-based organizations are invited to visit the newly-updated Innovations in Effective Compassion website, which was created as part of the Innovations National Conference, hosted by the White House Office of Faith-Based and Community Initiatives on June 26 and 27.

The site has information about how the Faith-Based and Community Initiative has changed how government addresses human need, how nonprofits have been strengthened and how faith-based and community groups have partnered with government. It includes research, evaluations, practical tools and other resources that can help service organizations and the public sector build upon the initiative in the years ahead. Highlights include:

• Targeting Human Needs Profiles that capture the impact of faith-based and community organization partnerships with government to address specific issues, such as addiction, homelessness, prisoner reentry, malaria, global HIV/AIDS and other pressing needs.
• Winners of the initiative’s video contest.
• Video and transcripts of keynote speeches from the National Conference.
