Hawai‘i’s towns may not have made it on Money Magazine’s list of the 100 best small cities to live in the United States, but several were noted for having exceptionally clean air. These small cities had 98.6 percent of days with good air quality. Presumably, Hawai‘i and Maui County cities experienced too much vog from the Kilauea volcano and Kauai’s towns were too small to make the list.
