Asset Policy Coalition event planned at Capitol

The Asset Policy Coalition will host an event from 9 to 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 5, in Room 329 at the State Capitol to bring together policy-makers, advocates and others to learn, share and explore ways to advance asset policy.

The Asset Policy Legislative Task Force will review the recent National Conference of State Legislatures asset building retreat in Denver and discuss its support for the 2008 Asset Policy Package.

The Hawai‘i Alliance for Community-Based Economic Development will share the Ho`owaiwai Asset-Building Policy report and the asset-building agenda for the 2008 legislative session, and coalition partners will present their work with Hawai‘i families to build assets. Jennifer Brooks of the Corporation for Enterprise Development will present the 2007-2008 Hawai‘i Assets and Opportunity Scorecard.
