2008 IS RAPIDLY COMING TO AN END and the holidays are upon us. The sector has seen many challenges and there are more ahead. Many of you have told me troubling stories about economic repercussions at your organizations. Still, I am convinced that out of crisis comes opportunity and HANO is committed to helping see you through, in ways only HANO can.
For 2009, HANO's agenda includes a solid training schedule and an urgent advocacy agenda. We look to add meaningful member benefits and find ways to better connect you for better leveraging, more collaboration and effective communication with each other. Our national office, the National Council of Nonprofits, is working for policy changes that will improve our operating environment on the federal level. NCN is already making inroads with President-elect Obama’s transition team as the new administration comes together.
Sign up to attend HANO’s annual meeting on Friday, Dec. 5, to hear more of these plans, if you haven't yet. Act soon; space is very limited. I hope to see you there.
