Kauai nonprofit collaboration workshop set for Dec. 18

Many nonprofits today are looking for ways to work with others to save money, increase effectiveness and extend their reach. Whether these are formal or informal arrangements, it's important they meet the needs of both organizations.

For Kauai nonprofits, KPAA is sponsoring a half-day workshop, Strategic Nonprofit Collaboration, from 9 a.m. to noon on Friday, Dec. 18 at the Kauai Humane Society, 3-825 Kaumualii Highway, Lihue.

Learn from several Kauai nonprofits that have found innovative ways of working together, ranging from collaborations to partnerships to mergers. Speakers will include D.Q. Jackson, Renae Hamilton, Lori Miller, Keith Cruikshank, Tom Bird and Melinda Montgomery.

Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. The workshop is free, but pre-registration is required, as space is limited to 30. To register, email kpaa@kauainetwork.org or call (808) 632-2005. This workshop is supported by the Annie Sinclair Knudsen Trust.
