An office suite of 2,416 sq. ft. will become available in January in the Kukui Center, a collaboration of eight nonprofits that serve abused and vulnerable children and their families. The suite is in a beautifully renovated and centrally located building on the edge of Chinatown.
The building is owned and operated by the nonprofit Kukui Children’s Foundation. The ideal tenant has services compatible and complementary to those already housed in the center and is interested in being part of this innovative, new project.
The advantages of co-locating with other nonprofits include: shared resources, staff and trainings; the potential to participate in developing new programs; and the availability of a range of services for clients on-site. All tenants must serve a Community Development Block Grant eligible population and provide services in the center. Administrative services alone do not qualify. Although one tenant is optimal, several compatible or complementary programs interested in sharing space may qualify.
A conference and training room is available at no cost to tenants. The cost of the space is $3,624 per month -- $1.50 per square foot including CAM. Parking is available at $50 per month per space and there is ample visitor parking.
