YMCA puts Atkinson Drive building on the market

The YMCA of Honolulu has put its 60-year-old building on Atkinson Drive in Honolulu on the market for sale, the Pacific Business News reported on Nov. 4. The 1.77-acre lot was listed with Colliers Monroe Friedlander with no price to see what nearly two acres on the edge of Waikiki would fetch.

The property, which includes a 67,576-square-foot building, is assessed at $8 million for tax purposes. It’s directly across the street from Ala Moana Center and the Ala Moana Hotel and is zoned A-2 for medium density apartment development. A high-rise on the site could have commanding views of the ocean.
