Your Hawaii nonprofit could win a free professional makeover

Recognizing that getting organized is one of the top New Year’s resolutions, the nonprofit Hawaii Association of Professional Organizers plan to celebrate National Get Organized Month in January. They’ll help the community, too, by giving a free office makeover to a nonprofit organization.

HAPO will choose a nonprofit, send a team of professional organizers to its office, create an organizing plan and spend a day working with staff to get it organized. Interested nonprofits can apply at www.hapoonline.org by Dec. 27. For more information, contact HAPO at info@hapoonline.org.

Individuals, businesses and nonprofit organizations can all benefit from improved order, decreased stress and greater effectiveness that come with getting organized and working with professional organizers.

Last year’s participating partners who donated organizing products and supplies included FranklinCovey, Esselte Corp., 1-800-Got-Junk?, Smead Manufacturing, Shred-it Hawaii (now Access Information Management) and City Mill. Companies interested in donating for this year’s makeover can find more information on the HAPO website.

Get Organized Month, sponsored by the National Association of Professional Organizers, is a national industry-wide event aimed at raising awareness of the benefits of getting organized and hiring a professional organizer.
