DEBDT releases 11 years of statistics on one DVD

The Department of Business, Economic Development & Tourism has released a new, special version of the State of Hawai‘i Data Book in DVD format that includes 11 years of this useful data in one convenient product.

For data fans, DBEDT has also released a print “2006 Robert C. Schmitt Commemorative Edition” of the State of Hawai‘i Data Book, which features several pages acknowledging Schmitt’s historical significance to our state and lots of other information about Hawai‘i.  Schmitt worked with Hawai’i statistics for 40 years, starting with the 1962 Statistical Abstract of Hawai’i that became the well-known and popular State of Hawai’i Data Book.

The commemorative edition is also available for free on the DBEDT web site at http://hawaii.gov/dbedt/info/economic/databook/db2006/db2006.pdf.  Only a limited number of printed copies are available and the main recipients are libraries throughout the state.
