Foster Parent Association publishes federal tax guide
Tax time is fast approaching and the National Foster Parent Association in collaboration with Casey Family Program and the Internal Revenue Service has produced a Federal Tax Guide for Resource Families designed to assist foster and adoptive parents and kinship caregivers.
Judith Wilhoite, executive director of the Hawai‘i Foster Parent Association, encourages organizations working with foster children and families to also check out the HFPA website. “Please spend some time on our home page to see the many, many training opportunities available for foster and adoptive parents and kinship caregivers as well as professionals involved in the child welfare arena,” she says.
