Inexpensive software can put time back on your side

Some projects start out looking innocent enough, says Techsoup.org, but they end up costing you many more staff hours than anticipated. Where does all the time go? Who has time available to help out, or is everybody stretched to the max? Do you have the data you need to make the best decisions?

To get a handle on time-management, you can use a service to track your and your team’s hours, such as ClickTime Basic. You access ClickTime over the web, which makes it easy to enter time or run reports on employees and tasks from wherever you have an internet connection.

A time-management service shouldn’t take a lot of time to use and ClickTime's straightforward entry process requires no training. You won’t have to hound employees to complete their timesheets, either. They’ll get an email notification to do it for you.

One year of ClickTime Basic service for 10 individual users is now available from TechSoup Stock to eligible organizations for an administrative fee of just $30 thanks to a generous donation. The retail value is $100. To learn more about time and project management software tools, see “Six Views of Project-Management Software” at TechSoup.org.
