Honolulu to honor senior volunteers on April 2

Mayor Mufi Hanneman and the Honolulu Committee on Aging will honor senior volunteers who are 60 years old or older at a recognition program, The Mayor’s 43rd Senior Recognition Program, from 9 to 1:30 a.m. on Thursday, April 2, at the Hawaii Convention Center.

Family, friends and nominators are invited to attend the ceremony at which all nominees will be presented to the audience and receive a certificate from Healthy Living by Sharing Aloha in appreciation of the time and talent they contribute to make a difference in the Honolulu community. Admission is free and the public is invited to attend.

The Outstanding Senior Citizens, male and female, will be announced at the program and additional awards will be made to volunteer who have provided especially exemplary service.
