Nominations open for '09 Businesswoman of the Year

Pacific Business News is seeking nominations for 2009 PBN Businesswoman of the Year, an award presented to an outstanding woman business leader recognized by her peers and her community. The 20 finalists selected from the nominees possess exceptional leadership skills, strong business acumen, community involvement and industry recognition.

• The completed nomination form.
• The nominee's resume.
• Two letters of support, maximum two pages (about 600 words) each.
• A high-resolution, professional-quality digital photo of nominee.

Self-nominations are encouraged; names of nominators are not revealed. An independent panel of judges, all past presidents of the Honolulu Chapter of Executive Women International, will select the finalists and winner based on information submitted through the nomination process. An event to honor all the finalists and to announce the name of the 2009 Businesswoman of the Year and the Woman Volunteer Leader of the Year will be held Thursday, April 16, at the Hawaii Convention Center.
