Hawaii foundations receive numerous grant proposals each year. One of the most critical factors in their decision to fund a proposal or not is how well the accompanying budget is crafted. Do the numbers tell the same story as the proposal narrative? Does the budget reflect careful planning, with reasonable anticipated expenses and revenue or is it an afterthought, full of wild guesses?
This three-hour workshop, a collaborative effort between Hawaii People’s Fund and the Hawaii Alliance of Nonprofit Organizations, will focus on the basics of and best practices in developing a sound budget for your grant applications.

The session will be from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Feb. 26, with registration opening at 8:30, at Studio 909, adjacent to the Musicians’ Association Building at 949 Kapiolani Blvd. just Diamond Head of Ward Ave. Cost is $50; materials and light morning refreshments are included.
