Financial managers can be unsung heroes, giving direction, advice and leadership vital to an organization’s success but often laboring in the background. The Pacific Business News CFO of the Year awards are an opportunity for businesses to tell the community about the great work their finance people do.
PBN is seeking nominations to identify and honor the best financial leaders in three categories: nonprofits or public agencies including government and public education; private companies with 60 or more full-time employees; and private companies with fewer than 60 full-time employees.
To be eligible, nominees must be chief financial officers or hold an equivalent position for at least one year. Consultants with your organizations for a year are also eligible. Awards will go to those who have delivered the most outstanding performances between June 2009 and December 2010.
You can make a nomination online at pacificbusinessnews.com, Deadline for nominations is Friday, Jan. 21. Judges have been selected from among Hawaii's top financial leaders. The awards luncheon will be on Thursday, March 17, at the Halekulani hotel in Waikiki. For more information, contact Mary Beth Lohman, PBN pubisher, at mlohman@bizjournals.com or (808) 955-8070.
