Ambassadors of Caring grant program seeks applications

Profiles in Caring offers a new "Ambassadors of Caring Award" grant program for small, community-based nonprofits. A minimum of four $10,000 grants will be awarded each year to further the work of grantees. There is no deadline for submissions, which can be made online from now through 2008. Besides the grants, Profiles in Caring will develop a television feature on the winning nonprofits to be broadcast nationally and internationally, provide a copy for the nonprofit to keep and duplicate for use in marketing and fundraising efforts and present a keepsake award for display.

Nonprofits may also submit stories about their community efforts to Profiles in Caring for possible development into television documentary programs, with all costs paid. Story submissions are separate opportunities in addition to the Ambassadors of Caring grant RFP.
