Envision Hawai‘i’s July 12 conference is geared for the next generation of leaders – young nonprofit and social entrepreneurs. It will provide a unique opportunity for participants to gain valuable skills, network with peers and take action on issues they care about. The theme of this year’s event is "Turn your passion into action."
This fourth annual conference is sponsored by American Savings Bank and Hawai'i Community Foundation with support from the University of Hawaii's Shidler College of Business and HANO. It will focus on transforming passions into actionable programs and initiatives. In addition to developing valuable skills, participants will engage in a unique and collaborative forum to explore ideas and issues brought to the table.
Organizers hope connections forged at the conference will bring about changes participants seek and that Envision Hawai'i will continue to strengthen and mobilize the community for the good of our island home. Breakout sessions include:
The keynote panel will discuss "Roots to Retail: Partnerships for Sustainable Food" and describe how a group has turned their passion into action by building a movement toward growing and using sustainable food resources for Hawaii food security.
