A recent survey by OfficeTeam, found the two most desired summer perks this year are flexible schedules and shorter workdays on Fridays. About 38 percent of 459 workers interviewed by telephone said they want flexible schedules this summer, while 32 percent said they’d like to leave work early on Fridays.
Employees appreciate flexibility in their jobs because it gives them greater control and enables them to handle other commitments without sacrificing their work performance,” said Robert Hosking, executive director of OfficeTeam.
More relaxed dress codes, potlucks and picnics were other summer perks workers wanted, according to OfficeTeam, a division of California-based Robert Half International Inc. which places accounting and finance workers in temporary and contract jobs.
