Through a grant from the Office of Hawaiian Affairs, Grants Central Station will present a series of free workshops on the islands of Maui, Molokai and Lanai. Topics in the “Fundamental Five Nonprofit Training Series” of seminars that will integrate traditional Hawaiian values include:
The five-workshop series will be offered on Maui, Lanai, and Molokai this summer and fall through partnerships with the Maui County Business Resource Center, the J. Walter Cameron Center, Molokai's Kuhao Business Center, Kulana Oiwi, the Lanai Community Association, the Lanai Visitors Bureau and Hale Mahaolu.
Nonprofits are encouraged to send several people to the same workshop to share a common language and learning so they can return to the office or boardroom enthusiastic to meet a shared goal. Therefore, the workshops are open to the entire organization rather than one person per agency on a first-come, first served and space available basis.
Participation is not limited to Native Hawaiians; however, registration is limited to four people per organization with waiting-list ability for more. If space is available, one week prior to the workshop, additional attendees on the wait list will be confirmed by date registered. Click here to register.
