The "Live Aloha Campaign" shines a spotlight on compassion. In partnership with the Institute for Human Services, Kanu Hawaii is calling on people to participate in a series of not-your-typical service projects on Saturday, June 20.
The projects will bring together those in need and those who have something to give, putting both to work side-by-side to better our communities. One flagship project organized by IHS will bring together residents of Kuhio Park Terrace public housing to work with volunteers from Kanu and IHS. Similar projects are being organized across the islands.
The campaign is being conducted in honor of Father Claude Du Teil, who founded IHS after he himself struggled through very hard times. The message: Any one of us can fall on hard times. Every one of us can rise to serve. Please save Saturday, June 20, and stay tuned. Click here for more information.
