BoardSource notes in its recent member newsletter that during the past several years, the IRS has made enormous efforts to make its website more user-friendly, and “we appreciate the guidance it offers to help us run our organizations according to its rules and regulations.”
Unfortunately, the site has grown so large that it is often difficult to locate specific information, even when you know it is hiding somewhere on the site. Fortunately, the IRS has figured that out and provides a site map – a virtual table of contents – that can help nonprofits search for statistics, definitions of terms, clarification of compliance regulations, and other tidbits that we need right now. Click here for the IRS site map for nonprofits and charities and bookmark it for future reference.
