HANO workshop to provide hands-on budgeting skills

The Hawaii Alliance of Nonprofit Organizations presents “Budgeting Techniques for Nonprofits: A Hands on Training” from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Tuesday, June 29 – registration opens at 8:30 a.m. – at Honolulu Community College, Pacific Center for Advanced Technology Training, 874 Dillingham Blvd., Bldg. 2, Honolulu.  

Sound financial management and planning are crucial to a nonprofit's ability to deliver cost-effective services. This workshop introduces the fundamentals of nonprofit budgeting. It is geared for smaller nonprofit organizations that do not have a professional budget analyst.

Participants should have a basic working knowledge of Excel. Each attendee will have access to a computer workstation to complete a sample budget and will leave with a budgeting tool on CD to take back to their organization. Cost is $85 for members; $125 for nonmembers. Materials and light morning refreshments are included; lunch is not included.
