ARRA funds awarded to CFS and HCAP

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Administration for Children and Families, has awarded two discretionary grants to Hawaii nonprofits using Stimulus funds from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009.

The Hawaii Community Action Program's Head Start program received a grant of $91,237 and Child and Family Service received $14,900 for its Head Start program on Kauai. The grants are effective in May 2010 for work to be completed by September 2011.
