CBED to host an opportunity to connect with Legislators

THE DEPARTMENT of Business, Economic Development and Tourism and its Community-Based Economic Development Program will host “CBED Day at the Legislature,” on Tuesday, March 13, from 9 a.m. to noon.  CBED will provide tables and chairs for organizations to set up displays and handout materials about their missions and programs.

“It’s a chance for nonprofit organizations to let legislators and the general public learn about their programs and voice support for whatever initiative they may support – like the CBED program,” said Wayne Thom, CBED manager.

Community organizations interested in taking advantage of this opportunity should contact Thom by March 7 so he can order sufficient tables and chairs at (808) 587-2772, fax (808) 586-2589 or wthom@dbedt.hawaii.gov.
