Register now: KCC Nonprofit Management Certificate Program

Kapiolani Community College has announced that registration is now open for the Nonprofit Management Certificate Program, a course designed to support new or aspiring executive directors.

The program includes eight instruction modules of 12 hours each presented once a month or eight months. Participants are led by community consultants at Kapiolani Community College.  The first module begins on March 6 and the final class is in October. Topics covered include:

  1. Introduction to Nonprofit Management
  2. Governance, Legal Issues and Board/Staff Partnerships
  3. Mission, Outcomes and Planning
  4. Human Resource Management
  5. Financial Management
  6. Fund Development
  7. Community Relations and Marketing
  8. Series Integration: Agency Based Projects and Analysis.

A certificate of professional development is awarded after successful completion of the program. The cost is $800 for entire program; individual class enrollments are also accepted and partial scholarships are available.
