The Hawai’i Community Foundation’s PONO program brings mid-career nonprofit executive directors together for a ten-month journey of collective learning. PONO offers participants the opportunity to design and implement capacity-building projects that focus on a critical issue or entrepreneurial opportunity facing their organizations.
The two areas of focus for the program are to build the capacity of individuals to lead nonprofit organizations and to build the capacity of organizations to deliver on their missions. The foundation recently commissioned an independent study to evaluate the PONO and Organizational Capacity Building programs, which prospective applicants should find informative.
Hawai‘i Community Foundation’s seventh PONO class will begin in September and run through May 2010. Click here for more about the program and to apply. Deadline for applications is April 15. Questions? Contact Clarysse Kami Nunokawa at (808) 961-9216 or cnunokawa@hcf-hawaii.org.
