Study examines ‘captive’ association memberships

“Are Some of Your Members ‘Captive?’”  is the title of a new case study by Association Metrics, Inc., which examines the economic and personal reasons why members in a professional association felt compelled to renew their membership, even though they believed they were not getting a good value for their dues.  The paper also examines the retention rates of these “captive” members who were tracked over a three-year period.
