Nominations due for PBN Nonprofit Businesswoman of 2011

Pacific Business News is seeking nominations for the 2011 Businesswoman of the Year, an award presented each year to outstanding women business leaders. The 2010 winner in the nonprofit category was Coralie Matayoshi, CEO of the American Red Cross’ Hawaii Chapter.

The nomination deadline is Friday, March 4. Eligibility is based on exceptional leadership skills, strong business acumen, being recognized in business and in particular her industry, and being recognized in her community.

To make a nomination, complete the Businesswoman of the Year nomination form online or contact Doreen Tavares, dtavares@bizjournals.com, for a PDF form, submit your nominee's resume or biography with two letters of support (two pages each maximum) and a high-resolution, professional quality digital photo of the nominee. Self nominations are encouraged and nominators’ names are not revealed.

An independent panel of judges, all past presidents of the Honolulu chapter of Executive Women International, will make their selections based on information provided through the nomination process. Women Who Mean Business, an event to honor all the finalists and to announce the Businesswoman of the Year, will be held on Thursday, April 28 at the Royal Hawaiian hotel.
