Nominate a young nonprofit leader for ‘Forty Under 40’ award

Pacific Business News is looking for Hawaii's best and brightest businessmen and businesswomen under the age of 40. Nonprofits are encouraged to nominate emerging staff and board leaders for this recognition by May 7.

Selection criteria include:

  • Be a recognized industry leader with a consistent "take charge" attitude; one with the respect of his/her colleagues.
  • Be committed to the community beyond the requirements of the job and industry he or she is in.
  • Show a high degree of business acumen and have a sharp, business-like approach to efficiency and change.
  • Be under 40 years of age as of June 21, 2007

Nominees can be in the nonprofit, public or private sector, and can be self-nominated or nominated by someone else. Previous Forty Under 40 honorees are not eligible. Nominations must include the nominee's current resume, a recent photo and two letters of recommendation, one page maximum each. The Forty Under 40 class of 2007 will be announced on Thursday, June 21, at the Hawai‘i Convention Center.
