Hawai‘i Children’s Trust Fund grants available

The goal of the Hawaii Children’s Trust Fund, a public-private partnership established in 1993, is to prevent child neglect and abuse. The Department of Health is the lead agency for the public sector and Hawai‘i Community Foundation facilitates grantmaking using federal Community Based Child Abuse Prevention funds.

The grants expand or replicate best- practices or promising community-based practices or develop innovative strategies to strengthen families and support the prevention of child abuse and neglect. They encourage parent involvement in the program and are intended to prevent child abuse and neglect, not for treatment services or for programs for families already receiving services from the child welfare system.

Maximum grants range from up to $35,000 for 12-month programs to up to $60,000 for 24-month programs. For more information and the grant application package, click here.
