HCF’s new HELP program to aid emerging nonprofit leaders

Based on the success of PONO and demand from the nonprofit sector for a leadership development program for senior staff members, the Hawaii Community Foundation is launching HELP – the Hawaii Emerging Leaders Program.  The new program will be led by Bill Coy of LaPiana Associates and Liza Culick, who is formerly with LaPiana.  

HELP will strengthen the leadership and management skills of senior managers, for more detail on the curriculum and application please see: http://www.hawaiicommunityfoundation.org/index.php?id=454. To be eligible for HELP, senior managers must:

• Work for a nonprofit with a minimum annual budget of $750,000
• Have worked in the sector for at least two years
• Have substantial supervisory and organizational responsibility
• Have the support of their executive director

If you know of individuals within or outside your organization who would be good candidates, the foundation suggests you notify them of this opportunity or let Clarysse Kami Nunokawa, cnunokawa@hcf-hawaii.org, or Piikea Miller, pmiller@hcf-hawaii.org know and they will follow-up. The application deadline is June 23 and the program will start on Oct. 5.
