The TeenLine Hawaii program of the Coalition for a Drug-Free Hawaii is offering two contests for teens during May, which is Teen Pregnancy Prevention Month. They are:
> Quiz Question Contest – Teens can submit a question related to teen pregnancy or sexually transmitted infections as well as a correct, evidence-based answer. The source used to research the question must also be submitted. The TLH Youth Leadership Group and the MTPPM project committee will vote for the ten best questions and compile them into an online quiz for youth. The participants with winning questions will receive a $10 gift card.
> Poster Contest – Teens are invited to submit a poster incorporating the slogan “Safe Love” using any media of their choice, for example pen, paint, collage, photos, etc. Posters will be judged on creativity and relevance to preventing teen pregnancy. The winning posters will be featured on the TLH website, the TLH Facebook page, the TLH Tumblr and on posters distributed in the community. The first place winner will receive a $100 gift card; the second place winner will receive a $75 gift card; the third place winner, a $50 gift card.
Entry forms are available on the TLH website. All entries must be dropped off or post marked by Tuesday, May 3. If you have any questions or need additional information, please contact Chelsea Haina at (808) 545-3228 ext. 22.
