Plans announced for 2009 Nonprofit Congress

The 2009 Nonprofit Congress is coming up in a few short months. Nonprofits will convene May 14-16, 2009, in New Orleans to exchange knowledge, plan for action, and celebrate collective strength. Early bird registration will open on Nov. 5, so start planning and budgeting now to attend. The Congress is:

  • A national meeting of nonprofit leaders
  • An active exchange of practical knowledge
  • A space to plan for action on the key issues affecting our organizations
  • A celebration of the sector's collective strength  

Highlights of the 2009 Nonprofit Congress:

  • National thought leaders on the sector's top priorities: Organizational Effectiveness, Advocacy and Grassroots Activities, and Public Awareness and Support of the Sector
  • Practical and informative breakout sessions featuring your fellow nonprofit leaders sharing their most successful stories and programs that you can take home to replicate
  • Planning sessions for nonprofits by state
  • Networking time with nonprofit leaders and vendors of vital resources
  • 20th Birthday Bash for the National Council of Nonprofits
  • Day of Service to benefit the community of New Orleans
  • Concrete tools, case studies, and knowledge that you can take back to your organization

Costs and fees (subject to change):

  • Individual registration (early bird): $425
  • Group rate (two or more early bird registrants): $400 each
  • Pre-conference sessions (limited to 30 participants each): $75 each 
  • Hotel rooms: $209 for a single, $216 for a double, plus taxes and fees
