ASAE & The Center for Association Leadership’s Association Technology Conference and Exposition, the only technology event focused on associations and nonprofit organizations, returns to the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, DC, Jan. 27 and 28, 2009. The event will provide ideas, tools and resources for senior-level association and nonprofit executives and connect them with chief technology officers, IT specialists and business partners.
"Undisputedly, technology is a major enabler and driving force for associations and nonprofit organizations," said ASAE & The Center President and CEO John Graham. "At the 2009 Association Technology Conference, association and nonprofit executives will learn from the best thought leaders how to implement new technology-driven services and update existing tools."
The 2009 event will focus on seven key areas: AMS Solutions, Web 2.0/Social Media, Technologies for Small Associations, Planning and Management, Emerging Trends, Leadership and Strategy, and Web Improvement and Infrastructure. The conference will kick off with an opening session featuring Jeff Howe, author of Crowdsourcing: Why the Power of the Crowd is Driving the Future of Business and contributing editor of Wired Magazine.
This year, the Association Solutions Marketplace Exposition will feature more than 100 companies offering technology services for associations and nonprofit organizations. In addition, attendees will learn from some of the best speakers in the industry during more than 50 education sessions, technology idea labs and networking events. The conference is preceded by an optional pre-conference session and a town hall meeting about the state of technology in associations.
The 2009 conference is paperless. Attendees can access all session handouts online in advance, during and after the program. Each person will also receive a 1 GB jump drive to store all files downloaded from the Web site. Click here for more information about the 2009 Association Technology Conference and Exposition.
