HANO AGENDA, NOVEMBER 2009

President's message:

New survey will help document how cuts impact nonprofits

This week, HANO in partnership with PHOCUSED (Protecting Hawaii's Ohana, Children, Underserved, Elderly and Disabled) will survey nonprofits on the impacts of state budget cuts on service delivery, as we did earlier this year.  Much has changed in the economy and the funding landscape since the data was last gathered, and we encourage everyone to complete the survey to provide a thorough picture of impacts to service delivery.

On another front, please sign up for HANO's annual meeting/mini-conference on Wednesday, Dec. 9, featuring Jan Masaoka of Blue Avocado.  The event will also feature member-benefit vendor workshops, a state-of-the-sector report, dicussions of nonprofit advocacy agendas and, of course, many opportunities to network.

Thanks to title sponsor, Hawaii Insurance Consultants, gold sponsor, First Insurance Risk Management, a subsidiary of First Insurance Company of Hawaii, and other early sponsors: Girl Scouts of Hawaii, Goodwill Industries, Inc., Easter Seals Hawaii, Hawaii Primary Care Association, Hawaiian Humane Society, Steven Ho and The Arc of Hilo. Click here for more information and to register, and please enjoy this month's newsletter.
