IS webinars help improve governance practices

Starting on Oct. 29, Independent Sector and BoardSource will present a new series of webinars designed to help nonprofit board members and staff leaders review their governance practices and improve their operations. There’s still time to register.

Based on the Principles Workbook: Steering Your Board Toward Good Governance and Ethical Practice and led by senior BoardSource consultants, the five webinars in this series will take a practical approach to enhancing your organization’s governance. For more information about each of the five sessions or how to register, visit the IS website.

The webinars are free to staff at Independent Sector member organizations, who can sign up for one session or the five-webinar series. Non-members can also participate at the cost of $100 per session or $450 for the full set. If a non-member organization joins Independent Sector by Jan. 31, the fees will be credited toward membership dues.
