Featuring more than 30 sessions over a day and a half, the Conference of Nonprofit Communities of Hawaii on Nov. 9 and 10 at the Sheraton Waikiki will feature timely and relevant professional-development topics, interactive workshops, fascinating and inspiring local and national speakers and panel discussions – all interspersed with numerous opportunities to network and explore potential collaborations within the nonprofit sector.
This first annual conference is presented by HANO, the Association of Fundraising Professionals – Aloha Chapter and Chaminade University.
Rudy Ruettiger, one of the most popular motivational speakers in the U.S., will deliver the keynote speech, “27 Seconds.” It took years of fierce determination to overcome obstacles and criticisms, yet Rudy achieved his first dream – to attend Notre Dame and play football for the Fighting Irish. As fans cheered RU-DY, RU-DY, he sacked the quarterback in the last 27 seconds of the only play in the only game of his college football career. He is the only player in the school’s history to be carried off the field on his teammates’ shoulders.
