‘Walk the Talk’ for the homeless to circle Oahu in ten days

"Walk the Talk" is a homelessness awareness walk around Oahu in ten consecutive days, from Wednesday, Nov. 10 to Friday, Nov. 19. For these ten days walkers will walk around Oahu to raise funds and bring awareness to the issue of homelessness.

Walk the Talk is a project of Hawaii Helping the Hungry Have Hope. For more than fifteen years H-5 has provided services for the homeless community. The walk, begun in 2005, has grown to provide funding for the EVANS bus shelter, Next Step emergency shelter, Kalaeloa Shuttle and the weekly food outreach serving more than 3,000 meals each month.

  • Walk all or part of Oahu with supports every step of the way.
  • Raise $1 or $1,000 – 100 percent will go directly into homeless services.
  • Organize a team at work, at school, where you worship or from your neighborhood.
  • Volunteer to help out at any of the ten stops.
