Hawaii nonprofits, help preserve
the charitable giving incentive

ACTION ALERT!  It's not too late to sign onto the nonprofit letter asking Congress' Supercommittee to keep the charitable giving incentive intact. This incentive supports the work of all nonprofits. The "Occupy" movement representing "the 99 percent" continues in many cities.  Several articles in this month's newsletter provide a backdrop:

Conference Update: Wondering what your money will get you? Our two-day conference is rich with diverse content for funders, board members, nonprofit staff, volunteers and consultants. Session topics and times have now been posted on the Conference of Nonprofit Communities of Hawaii website. 

Hawaii Community Foundation's Board Leadership Conference will be part of this year's conference. Pierre Omidyar, founder of eBay and Civil Beat will be the conference keynote speaker on Nov. 29. The conference will be anchored by CompassPoint Executive Director Jeanne Bell, co-author of the new book, Nonprofit Sustainability: Making Strategic Decisions for Financial Viability.
