Business registration division to stop mailing forms

The Hawaii Department of Commerce and Consumer Affairs’ Business Registration Division announced in September that it is cutting costs and going green by reducing the amount of paper it uses. The division will no longer automatically mail paper copies of annual report forms to filers of nonprofit and for-profit corporations, limited liability companies and partnerships. Instead, notice cards will be mailed with information on how to file online.

DCCA said ending the mailing will save more than 560 pounds of paper and nearly $24,000 of postage a year. The division said it also is encouraging new business registrations to be filed electronically.
